The early 2020's saw the rise of a new name circulating often within the liquid realms of the Drum n Bass world . Enter US based electronic music producer Hallow, hailing from the Northeast with a simple mission statement; "I make music to go for a walk in the woods to." You can practically feel the trees watching as the beats flow from the sounds and energy they create. Often drawing inspiration from nature, identity and feelings, the emotions are ever so prevalent when listening to a Hallow production. Between a handful of self releases on Bandcamp, multiple accepted admissions for the Form All Nighter compilation series, and a tune on the Winslow and Friends One project, it was only a matter of time before the rest of the industry took notice. Iconic label Hospital Records signed a tune featuring vocalist Xia for their final installment of the "Future Symptoms" VA EP series. "Dappled Light" is an ode to autumn, and a message of comfort and hope for the growing nonbinary and trans DNB { d-enby } community. In the years following, they have since released music for 1 More Thing, done some fantastic bootlegs and Extremely Nonbinary Drum N Bass Flips on their Soundcloud, and donated music to the Trans Pride Dub War Compilation raising money for Mermaids; a charity dedicated to supporting young transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people in the United Kingdom. This will mark a debut performance in Vermont for Hallow, so come check the vibes, show some support, and give them a warm Sparkomatik Spring welcome to our little slice of happiness.
